About Gardenscapes
Before the mansion, there was the garden. Gardenscapes is where Playrix's Scapes empire started: Austin the butler, a once-grand garden gone to weeds, and you, restoring it one match-3 level at a time. The idea sounds modest. Sixteen thousand levels later, players are still weeding.
The garden unlocks in areas, and each area is a small design project. Clear levels to earn stars, spend stars on restoration — a fountain ensemble here, a gazebo there, eventually whole island landscapes — choosing between design options as you go. Progress is always visible: yesterday's bramble patch is today's rose garden, and the map keeps growing outward.
Around the gardening runs a light story in chapters: Austin's running commentary, neighbors dropping by, small dramas between projects, and pets underfoot throughout. Expeditions and competitions against other players fill the calendar (those need internet; the garden itself grows fine offline).
It's free with optional purchases, including randomized items, and it's built for the long haul — this is a garden measured in months. If the fantasy of taming an estate one flowerbed at a time appeals, this is the game that proved half the industry would copy it.
