MONOPOLY GO!

MONOPOLY GO! is a phone version of the classic board game. Players roll the dice, earn MONOPOLY money, and move around boards themed after world-famous cities, fantastical lands, and other imaginative places. Mr. MONOPOLY guides the journey, and familiar pieces return: jail, Railroads, Properties, and Tokens such as the Racecar, Top Hat, and Battleship.

The main loop is collecting Property Tile Sets, then building Houses and upgrading them to Hotels to earn more rent from friends. Chance Cards add surprises along the way, while Community Chest and co-op events let friends work together for rewards. Players can also help or hinder each other, including heists on banks, which fits the competitive side of the original game.

Collecting is another thread. Story-filled Stickers can be collected and traded with friends and family, and completed albums bring rewards, including exclusive bonuses and limited-edition collections. Daily play adds Tournaments, the Prize Drop plinko mini-game, the Cash Grab mini-game, and events that run through the day.

MONOPOLY GO! is free to play, although some in-game items can be bought for real money, and an internet connection is required. The result is a shorter, social take on MONOPOLY: the board, the rent, and the trading are still there, but a round fits into a phone session rather than an evening around a table.
