About Chess
No timers, no accounts, no online lobby — this is chess the plain way, against a computer that scales to you. Chess Prince's app puts the oldest strategy game on your phone with ten difficulty levels, so a first-timer and a club player can both find an opponent worth sitting down against.
The rules are the real ones, explained in plain language inside the app: how each piece moves, what check, checkmate, and stalemate mean, and the two special moves people forget — castling and en passant. The point of the game never changes: corner the other king until it has nowhere legal to go.
What makes it friendly is the scaffolding. A game assistant and move hints point out better options when you are stuck, the undo button takes back honest mistakes, and stars reward finishing a level without touching it. A separate puzzle mode serves up positions to solve, which is the fastest way to get better at spotting tactics.
There is a two-player mode for passing the phone across a table, seven themes and two board views — flat 2D or a tilted 3D — to choose from, plus a save function for games that outlast your commute. It is a small download with sound effects and no fuss: chess practice that fits in a pocket.
