Helix Jump

Down is the only direction, and gravity does most of the work. Helix Jump drops a bouncing ball onto a tower of rotating spiral platforms, and your whole job is steering the fall: drag to spin the tower, line up the gaps, and thread the ball through level after level of bright, spinning geometry until it lands at the very bottom.

The tower fights back with paint. Each platform has forbidden zones, and one bounce on the wrong color shatters your ball into pieces and sends you back to the top. So the game becomes a rhythm of patience and nerve — rotating slowly to find the safe slot, or holding on as the ball drops through gap after gap, building the speed that turns it into a fireball able to smash straight through a platform.

That's the entire design, and Voodoo knew it was enough. One finger, one tower, runs that last seconds when they go wrong. The colors are loud, the bounce is springy, and the levels keep restacking the tower with new color schemes and tighter forbidden zones.

It's the purest form of the hyper-casual arcade game: no story, no upgrades to manage, nothing between you and the next attempt but a single tap. Easy to understand in three seconds, hard to put down — which is how it passed a hundred million downloads.
