Blizzard took the collectible card game, trimmed the homework, and kept everything people argue about. Hearthstone is a free strategy card game in the Warcraft universe, where you build a deck around one of eleven hero classes — each with its own Hero Power and signature tricks — and duel players from around the world in matches that rarely pass ten minutes.

The main road is the ranked ladder: win games, earn seasonal rewards each month, and chase the Legend rank. Decks are yours to engineer, Legendary cards can be crafted, and every expansion shuffles the possibilities again. Then there are the modes that grew into games of their own. Battlegrounds drops the deck entirely: recruit minions, build a warband, and auto-battle seven other players until one stands. Tavern Brawl rewrites the rules weekly with some new twist. Solo adventures and quests fill the quiet hours, and Wild mode lets returning players use every card they have ever owned. Your collection and progress sync between mobile and PC, so the same account works everywhere.
